The stellar neighbourhood of AZANI SYSTEM is comprised of all the known star systems within a 12-light-year radius of AZANI SYSTEM.

Stellar Populations

Of the 25 systems that make up our stellar neighbourhood, 15 contain at least one star, and the remaining 10 are made up of brown dwarfs or white dwarfs. Currently, our home system (SS05) is the closest star system to the AZANI SYSTEM. The humans on CRETAK can clearly see our stars in the night sky, as the distance between the two systems is a mere 1.45 light-years. This close proximity makes studying the human colony on CRETAK relatively easy and cost-efficient. It should be noted that AZAN is highly unusual in that it is the only F star in our neighbourhood; most other bodies present are either low-mass M-type main-sequence stars or brown dwarfs.
